In terms of quality, texture and pigmentation, all of the Nabla eyeshadows in my collection are the best I own. Their latest release is no exception. Here are a few of my favorite shades from their new Mermaid Collection (pictured above and swatched below). *Please note, no starfish, oysters or other aquatic creatures were harmed in the making of this post. 🐠
As I mentioned in my previous love letter to Nabla Cosmetics, these vegan and cruelty free individual eyeshadows are 6,50 € each (about $7), and the "Celestial" shades are 11,50 € each (about $13).
"Sensuelle"- Duochrome delicate pink with gold highlights (Celestial)- Glittery without being chunky or rough, this shade is a bangin' inner corner highlight. It layers well as a topper over other shades, and can also be worn wet for a brighter look.
"Sugar"- Duochrome flesh pink with soft champagne-gold highlights (Satin)- This one is a pretty pinky shade for all over the lid. It also makes for a stunning cheek highlight, perfect for the pink highlight trend.
"Juno Moon"- Purple cyclamen on an intense rust base (Bright)- When I first saw this color, I fell head over heels. It is a stunning bright metallic shade. I love using this all over the lid with a dark matte shadow blended into the crease for a purple smokey eye fantasy.
"Cleo"- Sumptuous gold of a medium tonality on an ochre base (Bright)- Cleo is a complete showstopper. It is by far the prettiest gold I have ever owned. It is insanely pigmented and buttery, and I would bathe in it if I could!
"Chemical Bond"- Medium tone platinum on a slightly bronze base (Bright)- This is another pigmented buttery shade which has quickly become one of my favorite everyday colors for all over the lid. It is the perfect balance of silver and taupe.
"Nereide"- Dove grey base with cold silver highlights (Celestial)- Last but not least, Nereide, similarly to Sensuelle, is a glittery shadow. It nicely pairs with Chemical Bond and can also be worn all over the lid for a grungy yet shimmery effect.
