Urban Decay has re-released 9 of their original lipstick shades from 1996 (20 years ago!!!) as part of their limited edition holiday collection, and they are filled with so much nostalgic fun, even the packaging is a throwback! All are vegan-friendly with the exception of the shade "Pallor", which contains carmine. These are my three favorite shades from the line: "Asphyxia", "Plague" and "Smog" (pictured above and swatched below).

"Asphyxia"- Soft lavender with blue micro-glitter (Cream)- This color delivers that nostalgic 90's frostiness in a more sophisticated way. It is slightly sheer and beautiful layered overtop a mauve, pink or purple lipstick or liner.

"Plague"- Bright purple with pink undertone (Cream)- This is a super fun and unique pearlescent shade of purple which reflects both blue and pink depending on the light. It leaves a subtle berry stain behind which I really love.

"Smog"- Deep coppery bronze (Cream)- I love a good metallic lip, and this is no exception! It is very on trend with the bronze and copper shades that are popping up everywhere this year, while still having a distinctly 90's edge.

The texture of these lipsticks is absolutely amazing; they are super creamy and glide nicely onto the lips without dragging. I recommend wearing these with a clear or matching lip liner for added longevity. The colors are so cool and would make an excellent addition to any makeup fanatic's collection. All I need is my Tamagotchi and Sabrina the Teenage Witch on repeat and my 90's transformation will be complete!
