New York City has unlimited fun places to venture out to, but sometimes you just want to stay in. Luckily there are still plenty of delicious and upscale options even for those nights when a fuzzy blanket and some old episodes of Frasier provide plenty of adventure.
1. Land
Vegetable Dumplings, Pad Thai
Good Thai food is difficult to come by in the Upper West Side, but Land is a true gem. The actual restaurant is very small, which is all the more reason to order in! The Dumplings and Pad Thai are loaded with flavor and all the right spices.

2. Fred's
Veggie Burger with Avocado
Fred's Veggie Burger comes with avocado and fries, two things that often have to be ordered à la carte in this crazy town. It is great comfort food, and they deliver very quickly.

3. Peacefood Cafe
Pan-Seared Shanghai-Style Dumplings, Vegetable Tempura
One of my favorite vegan restaurants, Peacefood has a multitude of delicious menu items. I particularly like the Pan-Seared Shanghai-Style Dumplings and Vegetable Tempura but you really can't go wrong. Peacefood has another location downtown at 41 East 11th Street as well.

4. Tenzan
Avocado Sushi, Vegetable Gyoza
If I'm ever thinking about ordering dinner, my first thought is almost always Avocado Sushi with Vegetable Gyoza from Tenzan. The food is always very fresh and tasty, and the service is extremely quick and friendly.

5. Freddie & Pepper's
Pizza
Freddie & Peppers is a quintessential Upper West Side pizza place. They have a huge variety of flavors and toppings to choose from, including many vegan options. The physical location is definitely a hole in the wall, but they are really all about the pizza.
