It should come as no surprise that I am drawn to glitter and shine like a moth to a flame, and Melt's new vegan and cruelty free Gun Metal Stack is no exception. The "ultra bold chrome shadows" in the stack are perfect for a variety of glittery and smoky eye looks and can even be patted over lipstick for a distinctively reflective pout.
The Melt Gunmetal Stack, $48, comes with four eyeshadows: three glittery textured shades and one matte shade for blending. Inspired by the brand's love of "industrial music and its unrestrained energy", all of the shadows are meant to pack major impact with a "pure pressed pigment" feel. They can be applied dry for a pigmented glittery finish or wet for a blinding metallic foiled sheen. Like all of Melt's stacks, it has a super unique magnetic design along with a mirrored cap, and the individual shades can be separated, rearranged and stacked with their other shadows, which makes me want to collect them all to make one giant mega stack!
"Harsh Stone White"- Glittery champagne white- This is such a unique light metallic shade with a complex color shift. It is gorgeous as an inner corner highlight as well as all over the lid or just patted into the center of the lid for a beautiful shine. It can even be used as a blinding metallic highlight.
"Assimilate"- Deep cool taupe- A perfect koala-hued blending shade, this is a beautiful balance between grey and taupe which compliments the other shades in the stack flawlessly. At first I was hoping the stack would be comprised solely of metallic shades, but this shade is a must-have when it comes to blending out the glittery shades.
"Industrial"- Metallic grey brown- This shade walks the line of cool and warm beautifully, which makes it ideal for blending with warmer shadows like those in the Melt Rust Stack. It is also breathtaking on its own all over the lid for the perfect metallic look.
"Gunmetal"- Metallic blue black- I love this take on a metallic black...the blue in it makes it extra unique. I love how its cool tones pair with the warm tones of "Industrial". This would be perfect for a dark mysterious wintery look paired with "Harsh Stone White" as a contrasting inner corner highlight.
