These simple vegan holiday rice krispie treats are so delicious and even better than the original. In the off-chance that you don't finish them all yourself, Santa will be happy to help you out with any leftovers.
Ingredients
1 bag Dandies Vegan Marshmallows
2 cups vegan rice cereal (I love Erewhon)
1 tablespoon vegan butter
holiday colored decorating sugar (optional)
Directions
First, empty the bag of marshmallows into a large microwavable bowl. Add in a tablespoon of butter and microwave on high in 30 second intervals for about 2 minutes total or until melted. While it is warm and gooey, add in the rice cereal and stir with a heat-resistent spatula. Spread the mixture into a glass baking dish and cover with a sheet of wax paper. Press down to flatten and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes. Once cooled, the wax paper should peel off easily. Before serving, optionally sprinkle with holiday colored decorating sugar and cut into squares. Enjoy!
