As if I didn't have enough lipsticks already...but who's counting? I've added three more to my collection from Lippy Girl, an animal-friendly indie makeup brand founded by the lovely Darcey Diehl out of Vancouver.
Lippy Girl Vegocentric Organic Vegan Lipsticks are 23 CAD each (about $17). They are described as "simply the best vegan lipsticks available with no bees products or polybutene/petroleum." I tried out the shades "Hot-Diggity-Yam", "Fancy Pants" and "Son of a Brick" (pictured above and swatched below).

"Hot-Diggity-Yam"- Peachy Nude- This color gives off some serious 60's vibes. It's somewhat similar to my natural lip color yet lighter and more polished. I love how this shade complements literally any eye look.
"Fancy Pants"- Rose Pink- This is truly a pretty pink shade, but don't let that fool you. It's not your average pink. It has a subtle frosty blue color shift that brings it to another dimension beyond Barbie and Regina George.
"Son of a Brick"- Brick Orange Red- The most pigmented of the bunch, it brings full on fall glamour without being too over the top. This color already has me pinning pumpkin recipes!
I am in love with all three of these incredibly wearable and flattering colors! The lipsticks work best when warmed up slightly on the back of your hand before applying so that they glide on smoothly. When I wore them, they did not feather at all and dried down fairly matte, yet stayed very moisturizing on my lips (the arm swatches below were painted on with a lip brush; fortunately the lipsticks do not transfer like that). I can definitely see myself wearing these on the regular, feeling like a glamorous vegan makeup insider!
